The outlook for October 2011

The energies in early October are a continuation of the late September Virgo theme of Health, Work and Service to Humanity since the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are still transiting that constellation and will be for some weeks (except for Saturn who will be there for much longer). So we will start out with a recap that is essentially the same as last month’s.

1. First House [Aries] – I AM Ophiuchus. An Ophiuchus native who is in balance will not let the aura of uniqueness go to his or her head. It’s as much a burden as it is a gift. The Blessing that is you accrues to the Earth and Humanity. Jupiter in Constellation Aries is opening you up. You are becoming self-conscious, awake and aware of who you are — and so is everyone else. No pressure. Just be yourself and you’ll be just fine.

2. Second House [Taurus] – I SHALL BE Harmonious. The only celestial object of any magnitude occupying Constellation Taurus right now is Asteroid Harmonia. So we’ll use that because it’s convenient and right on the mark.
• Harmonia was discovered by H. Goldschmidt on March 31, 1856, and named after Harmonia, the Greek goddess of harmony. The name was chosen to mark the end of the Crimean War.

3. Third House [Gemini] – I THINK. Nobody thinks quite like you do. The recent transit of Mars through Gemini should have had the following effects on you:
• You should have received psychic healing energy. If you always knew you were different and it didn’t bother you, then your psychic gifts were expanded. If you had self-esteem or other mental issues that needed to be healed, you received self-healing energy.
• You should have had a moment of clarity in which the issues you are here to work on came into focus.

4. Fourth House [Cancer] – I FEEL. This year’s transit of Mars is critical, and in particular Mars in Constellation Cancer is initializing star seeds left in the womb of the Cosmic Mother. For Ophiuchus the Mars transit is emphasizing the Yin & Yang of the Serpent in your grasp if you are male, and the Serpent that is YOU if you are fe-male. You know how Sigmund Freud seemed to be obsessed with sex drives and snakes? Well here is something Freudian to think about that relates to the Yins and Yangs of Serpent Power, Ophidian Current and Kundalini.
• If you are male, it is vital that you key on your Feminine Side.
• If you are fe-male, your work is to isolate that impulse inside of you – that small bit of testosterone you manufacture (yes, women have testosterone levels too).Testosterone is known as a “male” hormone, or androgen. It also is made in small amounts by a woman’s adrenal glands and ovaries. A woman’s testosterone is highest around age 20 and slowly declines till it is half as high in her 40s. In men, testosterone is linked to male physical traits and sex drive. In women, testosterone may be linked to sex drive. But for women, interest in sex is much more complicated than just testosterone levels.

5. Fifth House [Leo] – I LOVE/WILL. There are two key objects transiting Constellation Leo right now

1. The first is 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková. For insight as to what this may mean to you read my article about it. Close approach was on or around August 15, 2011 so if you had an experience of note around that date, then this Asteroid was of special importance to your mission or your self-development process.
2. The second is Asteroid 4581 Asclepius. For information about this object, read my article about it. This one is obviously going to be affecting your love life. Hopefully you have a good relationship foundation so that your love partner will be able to keep up with the changes in you. I have had feedback from a number of women who say their Oph men run hot-and-cold. I tell them that sometimes you just have to be someplace else in your head and not to take it personally. The fact is that some of your women have been so taken by your wonderful energy that they feel once the relationship is secure in your mind you become periodically or permanently emotionally absent. And frankly, they don’t like it. One young woman I saw last month had just divorced her Oph husband after only a year of marriage. So let this word to the wise suffice. If you expect your love relationship to last you need to be mindful that even cacti need watering sometimes but most women are hot-house flowers that need constant attention. If you are a Divine Feminine Oph then you may be meeting an Oph man you can pair with. If you are already paired with an Oph man, you will need to come to terms with your love affair(s) so you are on the same page with the Love of your Life.

• Sixth House [Virgo] – I HEAL/WORK/SERVE. This is the whole ball of wax for you. Thank you for coming. The planets currently transiting Constellation Virgo are as follows:
• Sun conjunct with Mercury and Comet C/2010 X1 Elenin (Sept 25) - These planetary and cometary intelligences are transiting an area of the sky we call the Coma-Virgo X-Ray/Radio Galaxy Streaming. Whatever energy is outpouring from the Solar Star at this time and location is in acceleration carrying with it the essences of whatever else is conjunct with it, in this case Mercury and Comet Elenin. What does this mean to you? Ophiuchus awareness is increasing and your self-awareness should be expanding exponentially due to the foundational self-impulse energy of Jupiter in Aries (the Sun is Exalted in Aries). So if you are already on your Destiny Path then this is how and why your career and your personal energy sphere is expanding and accelerating. If you are not yet on your Destiny Path, the Magic Carpet is being built for you by the Earth Mother and the Celestials. Don’t worry. Sometimes even doing nothing is doing a lot. You may be doing your job quite literally while you sleep. So get lots of rest. For those of you who are doing your job asleep AND awake, take every health precaution available to you beginning with fresh, healthy foods, fresh air, exercise, and the elimination of toxins and other health bio-hazards.
• Venus in Virgo – Recommended reading: Nick Kollerstrom’s excellent essay Venus, the Rose & the Heart. The simple essence of Virgo is Love. This is a time to enter fully into your Love of the Earth Mother and Her nature kingdoms. All the Love and wisdom necessary to do your work on this planet proceeds from this essential connection between you and the Earth Mother. There is a special yoga pose that was designed by or for you and that is the Planetary Healer ‘Y’ Posture. Learn and use it.
• Saturn in Virgo – This is a tricky one. For a lot of people, Saturn is putting a damper on their physical health. They are also substituting worries and taking fear-based actions instead of reaching out for fundamental health. They are working sick and getting sicker. For others, Saturn is Initiating them onto their new Destiny Paths. How are you experiencing Saturn in Virgo? Are you healthy or have you been met at the crossroads and found your new Path.

• Seventh House [Libra] – I HARMONIZE/BALANCE- There is no planetary action in this House quite yet but the annual parade is coming this month. Your self-consciousness is expanding and your affairs of the Heart are first on the list to be tested (45P and Asteroid Asclepius in Leo). Clean up your love affair karma now while you can. Once the planets that are now in Virgo begin to enter Libra, your relationship picture is liable to get complicated and complex in a real hurry.

  Eighth House [Scorpio-Ophiuchus] – I REGENERATE & TRANSFORM – You have been growing and changing at an accelerated pace since June 2006 when astronomers discovered a trans-neptunian body in the Kuiper Belt transiting your Constellation. They named it Quaoar after a Native [North] American Tongva deity who created new gods by singing and dancing them into existence. Quaoar has been working on you ever since. Human Consciousness finally reached a level of awake-and-awareness around your birthday last year, 2010 that was enough to release you from containment early this year, in January 2011. Mass Consciousness in the world-at-large became aware of your presence on the Zodiac Belt between Scorpio and Sagittarius on January 13, 2011. You’re the 13th Constellation on the Zodiac Belt but so far there is no sign of Astrologers relenting and giving you a sign of your own much less beginning to use what you bring to the planet in a meaningful way. But it doesn’t matter. You don’t need anyone’s permission to be who you are and bring what you have brought with you to do your work. And we can see by the number of powerful demonstrations made by your Constellation that you are in fact on your Path and walking your talk. There are a number of issues to be decided on but that will take place over time.

• Ninth House [Sagittarius] – I ASPIRE – Do you have aspirations? If you do, now is the time to open the barn door and let all the Horses out. Pluto in Sagittarius provides the ultimate in transformation power.

• Tenth House [Capricornus] – I UTILIZE – No planets are currently transiting Constellation Capricornus.

• Eleventh House [Aquarius] – I KNOW – Yes, some of you do. Are you one of the Ophiuchus natives who is in balance and knows his or her role here?

1. Neptune in Constellation Aquarius is illuminating. In your case it is lighting up your entire cosmic social circle. The Universe is making Light Transmissions readily available to you. Take the time to get up to speed so you KNOW what is being said about you. Some of what is being said will resonate with you and some of it won’t. Your “sign” is so new a lot of people are just making their best guess. Sort it all out so you can get to KNOW Yourself and we can get to KNOW the Real You too.
2. Chiron in Constellation Aquarius aligned with NGC 7293 Helix Nebula is a very big deal. Chiron was Asclepius’s Master Teacher. So if you don’t have a Master Teacher it is advisable for you to find one who can help you get updated with everything you need to function at your new level. The alignment to Helix Nebula suggests your new Cosmic DNA is being activated. If you want the full benefit of it, you should reach out for a Teacher even if you do think you know it all. I wouldn’t risk it at this juncture. Maybe later you can, but not right now.

• Twelfth House [Pisces] – I BELIEVE – Currently Uranus in Constellation Pisces is bringing up a lot of old issues and lessons humanity has not yet learned from their past mistakes. The consequences of our mistakes are grievous. So you are probably going through your closets too. You’ll be doing that for a long time. You have a very deep past.

The Moon in Pisces

There is a connection in occult lore between the Moon, Pisces and the sensory gateway “Sleep”. If “Ascension-itis” is turning you sluggish and sleepy the Moon in Pisces says don’t fight it! It’s your Subconscious Mind coming up like a Grail Cup to receive a refreshing draft of sparkling fresh celestial water (Universal Consciousness) being poured by the Aquarius Water Bearer.

So ‘nod off’ and get busy! You can sleep and dream your designs for the future. They drop right into your Subconscious Mind during sleep when you are connected to the Stars organically and cannot talk yourself out of it. Received solutions are in the nature of special codes and DNA that activate automatically when the Time is right.

As we saw yesterday, when the Moon is in late degrees of Constellation Aquarius and early degrees of Constellation Pisces our imagination soars, carried into the celestial realms by Pegasus, the white winged horse. It is a time to let our imaginations run wild and look to the stars for Universal Knowledge.

As the Moon reaches the Eastward side of The Great Square of Pegasus she comes to resonate with Constellation Andromeda. The transition from Pegasus to Andromeda is very fluid due in no small part to a shared variable star. The star Delta Pegasus also doubles as Alpha Andromeda, Alpheratz.

Alpheratz is said to be a star that is prominent in the charts of innovators and inventors. Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) had the Sun at The Great Square of Pegasus and Mercury conjunct Saturn in Pisces in the Alpheratz zone. Steve Jobs (24 February 1955 – 5 October 2011) was similarly blessed (see screen captures below).

And speaking of the sleepies being a symptom of Ascension-itis, in case you didn’t know it, the body heals itself during sleep so what are the chances you don’t need more sleep just because you think there’s something else that is more important to do? Nothing is more important than your Health. If you feel sleepy today, just go with that flow. Your body is trying to tell you something — it needs to repair some damage that has been done in previous weeks.

Mercury (communication systems) and Saturn (organization and discipline) are reminding us we normally set a scheduled run of our computer’s system tools to check for viruses and optimize performance at night while we sleep — but aren’t there other times when your system software updates itself? And don’t some of these updates come to you at inconvenient times when you’re doing something else? When you need a system update, you need a system update. Do the same for your body! This is the scheduled maintenance part of your monthly cycle where it needs to re-boot the system to completely install the updates. Honor the body-mind. Let it heal.

A special transmission from Ophiuchus. The Ophiuchus Consciousness ‘body’ wants me to remind you that one of their projects is to clear the Astral Plane and in particular the Dream Planes. In this effort, honoring your body’s signals to sleep and dream are natural and organic alignments with energies that are triggering these responses in you. It is in this way that [they] will be able to clear out “nightmare” energy purposely being manufactured to keep people vibrating uneasily [as you re-enter] the waking state to precondition people to be more receptive to the fear vibrations being [pumped into] the mainstream media (bad news that reaches you) while [you] are awake. If you will cooperate more with your body’s need for sleep, it will ultimately help you set yourself up to move freely on the Dream Planes in your work and for your pleasures.

Venus in Virgo & the Power of Love

This paragraph is being written for the benefit of those who are interested to know more about how and why the Astrological arts theoretically work.

When calculating the Astrological nature of the planetary characteristics and influences in the New Age we need to learn from the planets’ own body language. Thanks to the miracle of modern astrophysical science today we have that information available to us.

The astronomical dynamics of Venus speak volumes about the Power of Love to transform and heal.

Venus — Sister to Earth

Venus has been referred to as the sister or even twin to Earth by many because of its similar chemical composition, density and size. That, however, is where the similarities end. Venus is not only the hottest planet in the solar system, but also the brightest. Both of these characteristics are the result of the atmosphere that surrounds the planet, which is mainly composed of carbon dioxide and some sulfuric acid. This composition allows for the greenhouse effect to be astronomical causing the planet to have a constant temperature of 864°F. The planet is the brightest because the clouds, composed of sulfur dioxide and sulfuric acid, are highly reflective. The pressure of the atmosphere that surrounds Venus is 90 times that of the atmosphere around Earth, crushing any probes that land on Venus in a matter of hours.

The orbit of Venus is the most circular in the solar system, with the perihelion (position closest to sun) and aphelion (position farthest from sun) varying only by roughly 1%. The average distance to the sun from Venus is 67,237,910 miles. An interesting feature of Venus is that the sun rises in the West and sets in the East; a result of its retrograde rotation. Uranus and Pluto, in addition to Venus, also rotate in the opposite direction of Earth. Besides rotating backwards by Earth’s standards, Venus also rotates very slowly. One day on Venus is 5832 hours or 243 Earth days. The time it takes Venus to orbit around the sun is 224.7 days. This means that a day is longer than a year on Venus. Venus & the 11:11:11 Rose Stargate

The Gateway zone is approximately 5° wide on the Ecliptic Plane. Venus will be transiting this sensitive area for several days.

Please note this location on the Zodiac Belt virtually marks the Gate, it is not the actual location of the Gate. It is where Venus was — aligned with the Purple Rose of Virgo Galaxy — on the day Celia Fenn opened this gate to the public in November 2009.

Asteroid Asclepius & the Zodiac Dragon

Asteroid Asclepius is currently transiting Constellation Sextans. Sextans is one of the constellations that underlies Constellation Leo.

If you are an Ophiuchus native, your life is being micromanaged right now. Every little detail of your day is important. The vast ocean your Soul Boat traversed to get here was made of the firmament of heaven — vastness with twinkles. There was no time, no space, no up, down, left or right around you. You were suspended in a sleep of Shiloam.

Sometimes you need sensory deprivation so you can reconnect with your Soul Boat and those millions of stars in the sky so you don’t lose that vital connection, and because some of those precious twinkles don’t have shape, form, names or meanings so you can line them up so easily in your Soul’s Sextant to use for guidance. So if you feel spacey today, don’t worry. Just go with it. You need disorientation every now and then. If you can hear me, just nod. It doesn’t have to make sense.

Asteroid Asclepius today is in Ecliptic alignment with Alpha Draco, Thuban.  A relatively inconspicuous star in the long dragon-serpent body of the Zodiac Dragon, Thuban was the north pole star in ancient times.

Thuban is an Arabic word for snake ثعبان thuʿbān.

The head of the Zodiac Dragon is in the Scorpio-Ophiuchus sector of the celestial sphere. So today’s alignment forms a powerful Triangulation of energies running from and through Sextans-Leo-Ursa Major to and through Draco, the North Zodiac Pole (top of the sky relative to our orbital plane around the Sun), Hercules, Ophiuchus, Scorpius, Ara the Altar and more.

My Ophiuchus Friend Eric Vidsiunas in São Paulo Brazil pointed out to me that the Draconids can’t be seen from the Southern Hemisphere. Not to worry. The energy will run along the energy ley lines and reach you via the Earth-Sky grid. Hence the importance of the triangulation referenced above.

Chiron Rx at Helix Nebula

NGC 6720 | Helix Nebula, Constellation Aquarius | Also known as "the Eye of God"

Chiron is still retrograde in Constellation Aquarius aligned with NGC 7293 Helix Nebula. This is a very big deal. Chiron – referred to as the Rainbow Bridge between the inner and outer planets – helps us bridge the ordinary with the extraordinary and the personal with the trans-personal. Chiron makes the quantum leap possible so we can reach what would otherwise be unreachable.

When Chiron is retrograde the indication is that it’s time to bring forward the ancient wisdom we brought with us that up until recently we didn’t think anyone was interested in it.

Here’s some ancient wisdom for you Ophiuchii to chew on. Chiron was Asclepius’s Master Teacher. So if you are an Ophiuchus native and you don’t know much about Ophiuchus, you may need a Master Teacher who can help you get updated with everything you need to function at your new level.

Besides looking like the Eye of God, Helix Nebula has to do with our celestial (or Divine) DNA. Retrograde Chiron in alignment suggests the activation or reactivation of special bridging codes so we may begin to awaken our latent God-selves.

Going through the closets and attics on 10:10:11

Beginning late yesterday the Moon moved into Constellation Pisces, the sign that is probably best known for its association with the Karma of Unlearned Lessons from our Past Lives.

The energies today are for the most part emotional as the issues we’ve been carrying around with us resurface as they periodically do.

Self-esteem issues may crop up too as we are working sometimes against the grain to grow into our Higher Selves (see yesterday’s Horoscope).  Today’s issues are likely to involve our feminine side, our mothers and motherhood (Mars in Constellation Cancer square to Jupiter in Aries).

Keep telling yourself, “it’s only temporary. This too shall pass.” But don’t shirk responsibility. Look at your part in it too. Otherwise growing into your Higher Self is going to be more painful than it already is.

Be prepared to experience a bit of an emotional dip. The emotional energy may simply manifest as a day when we just can’t seem to get our engines revved up to their normal rpm. We may feel sluggish and even a little sleepy. In Qabalistic Astrology Pisces is associated with the Sensory Gateway “Sleep”. The Moon resonates most deeply with our autonomic systems, our subconscious and unconscious levels. Every machine needs downtime. Go ahead and take some.

What’s new under the Pegasus Moon

Early in the morning using our usual UTC Date and Time at Stonehenge the Moon will transit Alpha and Beta Pegasus, Markab and Scheat. (No, you’re not seeing double. There are two fixed stars in the same sector named “Scheat”; one is in Aquarius and the other in Pegasus.)

I checked the metaphysical meanings of these stars to see if there was anything I could use. If you want the negative view of what the possibilities are for you today as the Moon passes them by you can sure get it but not here on Startistics, or on Astronomologer either for that matter. Do you remember a book that came out decades ago entitled No Bad Dogs? Well, we at Startistics subscribe to the No Bad Stars theory. We are all about accentuating the positive to the greatest extent possible here.

One of the Lessons of A Course in Miracles says “I give everything all the meaning that it has for me.” So let’s take responsibility for our own thought processes today, shall we?

Remember, in 1987 we had this thing called “Harmonic Convergence” which theoretically reset all the frequencies for the New Age. Everything is changing – not just the things we pick-and-choose. My work involves divining the evolved states of the celestial intelligences so I’m going to ignore the bad press and let you experience for yourself and tell me (if you care to share) what form and shape their evolved states are taking. How does that sound? Good?

Alpha and Beta Pegasus combine with Gamma and Delta Pegasus (a multiple star which does double-duty also being known as Alpha Andromeda) in what is known as The Great Square of Pegasus. New far-away exoplanets

Here is the News released just today (October 8, 2011) from SETI about the latest Hubble discoveries that came out as old data stored in the archives was reviewed:

In a painstaking re-analysis of Hubble Space Telescope images from 1998, astronomers have found visual evidence for two extrasolar planets that went undetected back then.

Finding these hidden gems in the Hubble archive gives astronomers an invaluable time machine for comparing much earlier planet orbital motion data to more recent observations. It also demonstrates a novel approach for planet hunting in archival Hubble data.

Four giant planets are known to orbit the young, massive star HR 8799, which is 130 light-years away.

HR 8799 is located inside the Scheat-to-Scheat zone of Constellation Pegasus where the Moon is today (Oct 10). I’ve marked HR 8799 on the star map for you so you can see where it is for yourself. The timing of this announcement is awfully convenient, don’t you think? Probably just a coincidence, though .

Later today the Sun comes into Equatorial alignment with Epsilon Virginis, Vindemiatrix.

Equatorial coordinates reflect a set of meridians that run from pole to pole and parallel our lines of longitude and latitude on the planet. The celestial longitude lines are called Right Ascension and the latitude circles are called Declination.

Degrees of Ecliptic Longitude and Latitude are relative to the Ecliptic Plane (also known as the Zodiac Belt).

Here is an interesting tidbit on one of the traditional values for Vindemiatrix that still sounds pretty good to me.

Bullinger in Witness to the Stars, a Christian publication, wrote “The star epsilon, in the arm bearing the branch, is called Al Mureddin, which means who shall come down (as in Psa 72:8), or who shall have dominion. It is also known as Vindemiatrix, a Chaldee word which means “the son”, or “branch, who cometh”. (from Anne Wright’s beautiful resource site Constellations of Words.)

So you don’t think I sound like much of an expert. Don’t you think that’s a refreshing approach? Doesn’t it sort of give you the idea somebody is trying to free you of the need to keep yourself locked into so many limiting and depressing thought forms? Let me tell you something. Once upon a time (as I look back on my life under the Pisces Moon) I believed every little thing I was told and all it did was set me up to have to spend the next 40 years undoing the damage. I’m not talking just about Astrology. I’m talking about everything from History to the difference between good food and poison. (Why do we have Easter Egg Hunts on Easter when everybody knows Easter is all about the Easter Bunny?)

I became a tire-kicker.

So back to how to apply this aspect to your life.

Coming out of the dark closet is Asteroid Hygiea, named for Asclepius’s daughter & serpent handler, who aligns with Alpha Scorpius and Omega Ophiuchus today. Hygiea has been transiting Constellation Ophiuchus for a few days and will be interacting with the powerful Alpha Scorpius-Omega Ophiuchus energy field for some days. Well, if you’re still subscribed to traditional Astrology of some sort you can look forward to Scorpion energy continuing to impinge upon you. Judging by the to-do on Wall Street in New York City these days I wouldn’t be so sure the Scorpion energy is going to be too long for the world in the USA. The USA is thought to be a “Scorpio Rising” and you can see how far THAT has gotten us in 200 years. Do you want another 200 years of that?

Maybe it’s time to begin subscribing to the Serpent of Wisdom theory as Constellation Scorpius’s next (beginning today) celestial Incarnation.

Aquarius Moon at the Water Pitcher

Today we expand on yesterday’s Moon-in-Aquarius theme as the Waxing Gibbous Moon comes into alignment with the Waterbearer’s pitcher.

As the Moon’s light increases so does the Waterbearer’s pitcher fill. It fills with Celestial Waters — the Light of Universal Consciousness.

They say (whoever “they” is, I never quite figured it out) that Nature abhors a vacuum, and that is certainly true. Whatever illusive piece of information is keeping you from KNOWING what you need to KNOW to forge ahead with your imaginative, innovative project, you stand a good chance of receiving it today. That blank spot in your waking consciousness is a magnetic sector on your mental hard disk just waiting for the Moon to receive and transmit the Light of Universal Knowledge to it from the Cosmos.

How can you enhance your chances of succeeding in pulling this bit of Knowledge out of the Universe and into your Open Mind? Moon-gazing might help. But here’s the thing. No amount of wishing is going to make your most precious dream come true unless you KNOW you can do it.

I owned a metaphysical book store once for two years. I didn’t lay out a dime for it and nobody had to die to give it to me. But I wanted the experience of working in a metaphysical shop and I knew the Universe could make it happen for me and it did. What I really wanted to tell you here is that we had a book on the shelf entitled “You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought.” I never read the book. I figured all I needed to know was contained in the title. I’d already manifested the metaphysical shop and now that I was spending all day in it, there were so many other books I wanted to read. So the moral of the story is KNOWING you CAN DO IT is the key!

As you can tell from the sky map above, the Moon will shortly enter Constellation Pisces, probably best known for its association with the Past and Past Lives. Maybe this is the energy that has prompted me to share a story with you from my past. You can expect a similar energy to visit you sometime during the day depending on your location and for the next several days as well.

As you can also see from the screen capture above, sometime today the Moon will be aligning with two key stars — one is Fomalhaut the Royal Southern Fish star and the other is Scheat at the bottom of the Waterbearer’s Pitcher. How will you know what time to meditate or look for the Moon? Don’t forget we’re going Fourth Dimensional this week (planets in Virgo making alignments to Arcturus). This reminds us that Time is relative. There is no Time in Space. So use your Moon faculties — good old fashioned Intuition. If you trust it, it cannot fail you.  Good luck!

The sands of Time in Constellation Virgo

At 00:11:00 Cairo time (UT+2) using Equatorial coordinates (hours, minutes and seconds of Right Ascension) there will be an alignment of Mercury, Alpha Virgo, Iota Centaurus (the elbow of the Galactic Centaur) and the Earth Shadow.

The window of time in which the Earth Shadow joins in this alignment will be quite brief and unfortunately simply adjusting for the difference in Time Zones is not going to bring the Earth element into alignment for everyone else. You’ll either need to plot the time adjustment in your own planetarium program or just use Egyptian time at Cairo.

As for me, I’m using 00:11 UT+2 while the Moon is transiting the Pitcher in the 11th Zodiac Sign to send Gratitude and Support for the good job the Multitudes in the streets of Cairo did in both accomplishing their aim and in inspiring the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York City.

I’m also taking advantage of the beyond-time nature of the Fourth Dimension to reach backwards in time and send Love & Support to those same people from where I am now, in what is their Future. I’m telling them psychically today (using the 13:30 LST connection to Galactic Central which is activated by the Mercury-Spica alignment) that they were successful and not to give up!

And you can do the same thing. Frankly, we can do this any time day or night even without all the alignments. I’ve been acting as my own cheerleader for years, reaching back in time to reassure myself that what I’m going through will all be worth it in the end and to stay the course. How badly did I need this encouragement? Pretty darned. I have been virtually homeless more than once. But my narration of how to empower our thoughts today using planetary alignments demonstrates how these pieces work individually and how you can put them to work for you and be your own Star Shaman.

What else can you do with this energy? Anything you want to. If your manifestation wish is healthy and your intention is healthy you’ll get what you need to bring you Health, Safety, Abundance and Prosperity. Think Healthy to Be Healthy! And don’t forget we get out of these aspects exactly what we put into them. If we pay the Luminaries only lip service, then our results will reflect that same lack of sincerity.

Today the waxing Gibbous Moon leaves the Aquarius-Capricornus Overhang Zone behind. So let’s explore the energy potential of the Moon in Aquarius.

Planetary array in Constellation Virgo

We’re in between peak planet-star alignments in Virgo but that doesn’t mean we can relax. The pause between Planet-Star pulsations gives us an opportunity to sit down, get quiet, and listen to our bodies. What are they telling us? Where do you need to focus your efforts to reclaim or fortify your body’s health? And how about the body of the Earth Mother? What have you done for Her lately?

What sorts of deeds and activities can you participate in to show your appreciation for the body of the mother of your physical substance? What small steps can you take to crank way back on your contribution to pollution and the ruthless and needless extermination of her organic Nature that by the way puts food on our tables?

After we begin getting back to fundamental health inside and out, maybe then we can talk about what’s in the Virgo part of the Horoscope in the way of more gifts for us than we’ve already been given. Right now continued Life on Earth is what I’m guessing the gift of Grace might hold for us. Because if it’s true that the Earth Mother is a living sentient being, we don’t deserve the bounty we’ve been enjoying unless the Earth Mother has a secret death wish.

I’m guessing this is where the special talents of Asclepius and Imhotep come into the picture as they both had reputations for being able to revive their patients even after they were dead.

And if you have a special Planetary Healing Gift, then this is your time to start applying your healing energy where it will do the most good right now. People who resist the message that they need to pay attention to their health are saying ‘no thank you’ to what’s in their own best interest. So stop wasting your time and energy on people who take take take your healing and then go right back to their damaging behaviors and eating habits. There are too many people and places on the planet that will accept your healing for you to keep giving to someone who is throwing it all away right after you leave them for the next house call.

Ooh that sounds a little brutal, but I’m being told that somebody out there who will be reading this needs to hear it. So forgive me if you can. I’m just the Messenger.

Juno in Virgo aligns with Alpha Virgo and Alpha Boötes

Juno’s alignment with Alpha Virgo (Spica) and Alpha Boötes (Arcturus) is the single most significant of her alignments in this sector of the Zodiac Belt. Ophiuchus Sidereal Astronomy-Astrologer Nick Fiorenza says about Juno:

Juno, goddess of love, is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In the astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. In light of the USA’s spiritual covenant as written in its Charter Documents, you can see how significant an aspect this is from a Mundane Astrology standpoint. Combine this aspect with the USA’s Saturn Return and the mess Wall Street is in and you can see into the depths of the crisis even though the news carriers may try to marginalize it. We are in deep you-know-what over here.

What this aspect means to you goes way beyond the realm of the third dimension. The Arcturians are one of the many benevolent star cultures assisting the Earth planet and her Humanities at this critical time. They are Masters of Time.

As you can see from the screen capture above, there is a cosmic alignment that reveals a special relationship between Spica and Arcturus. The coordinates that show the stars are in alignment are as follows and I have added the position of Asteroid Juno to the mix too:

• Alpha Alpha Boötes (Arcturus) Ecliptic Longitude 204.3988°

In the articles in which I’ve mentioned 13:30 Local Sidereal Time and its mysterious connection with Galactic Center, Alpha Spica is curiously located at Right Ascension (Equatorial ‘longitude’) 13h25m48.89s. Hence at 13:30 LST, while Alpha Virgo is not exactly in the crosshairs, it is right there in the viewfinder. Remember this when you’re using 13:30 LST to enhance your psychic connections to Galactic Center. What the Spica-Juno-Arcturus alignment means to you is that if your current Soul Contract has expired, now is a very good time to take a look at it so when you re-obligate yourself you can calculate for Time Travel. I wouldn’t know what to advise except that the criteria you base your wants and needs on probably ought to have Eternal Value.

Comet Elenin & 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková

And finally, according to the Ephemerides Comet Elenin crosses paths with 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková today in Constellation Leo. Now that the Comet has reportedly broken up and begun to dissolve one would think the path would be altered but so far I haven’t been able to dig up any information about that. I’ll keep looking.

October 7 ~ Aquarius-Capricornus Gibbous Moon Waxing

The Aquarius-Capricornus Moon

There is so much we don’t and can’t possibly know about the Cosmos sometimes I wonder how we’ve made it this far.

In 1987 when I quit my high-paying day job to become a professional Astrologer would you believe I totally didn’t know there was such a thing as Sidereal Astrology? It’s true. So you can imagine my shock when I bought a Sky Atlas and found a 13th Constellation on the Zodiac Belt.

I call what I went through after that the 13th Constellation Shock Wave. I never became a professional Astrologer. There was too much I didn’t know.

The next thing I knew I was looking at all 88 constellation designs in this book but the stick figures weren’t matching up with what the constellations were supposed to be picturing. And then one night in a drug-induced state I raised my hand to the Cosmos and said Hey, the next time a job opening comes up, can it be my turn to connect the dots?

And so here I am auditioning for the job by pointing out to you that there is a way to make sense out of all of the numerous Astrology systems on this planet. We need to take one step forward and two steps back. I’m proposing we make a bold return to an organic appreciation of the stars and planets that make Astrology what it is. A stellar art (ala STARtistics).

It’s a novel approach, I realize, but how about if we gave the real stars in the real sky a chance to speak for themselves again?

Pardon me. Here I am supposed to be reading your daily horoscope and instead I’m lobbying for a cosmic job. Tsk tsk tsk. Could it be that the Aquarius-Capricornus Moon has just pressed me to talk about my Professional [Capricorn] Space Age Astronomy-Astrology new age scientist’s path [Aquarius] as some sort of demonstration I suppose of the kind of blended celestial chemistry one might reasonably expect to be prevalent today as the Moon floats through the Aquarius-Capricornus Overhang Zone of the Zodiac Belt? It would seem to make sense.

Social changes personal and global

In Aquarius the normally unstable Air element is fixed (unchangeable). Capricorn is associated with changeable Earth. The Moon hasn’t had a stable day in her life. So chances are the Moon in the Aquarius-Capricornus Overhang Zone will have the effect of bringing necessary change into a seemingly solid environment.

Of course Aquarius is also associated with social services, World Service, society and in particular the Altruistic Society. So look for some sort of positive change to begin showing itself in the Occupy Wall Street movement. You can also look for necessary positive change in your private life stemming from changes in your social circle and because the Moon is internalizing these changes for you at the subconscious level.

If you want to be a winner, hang out with the winners. That way next time the Moon transits Capricorn-Aquarius you will be imprinting a new set of codes into your psyche and your Lunar Nature will Magnetize new friends to you who more fit your new ideal (which you will work on when the Moon is in Sagittarius). Hm. It sounds like Occupy Wall Street may be forcing people to decide whose side they’re on. Can you imagine all the workers in those buildings working for bankers who are filching their cash too?

Mercury-Saturn alignment

Mercury is the traditional exoteric Planetary Intelligence (I don’t like the term ‘ruler’) speaking for Constellation/Sign Virgo. I didn’t talk about it but his alignment with Saturn peaked yesterday. This combination of energies especially favors getting your systems, procedures, and writing projects organized no matter what they are about. Of course, Health, Safety, Welfare and Service to Humanity projects are the most favored, but any sign that you’re resonating with these luminaries will suffice to demonstrate their strength.

Keep in mind the USA is coming out of a peak Saturn Return alignment. The effects of that will be especially heavy since natal Saturn is in Virgo. Not only is Virgo a heavy-hitting constellation-sign in its own right but the architects of this great nation hitched their wagon to its stars so they are bound and obligated by Spiritual Hierarchy mandates to conform their behavior according to their Soul Contract with Spirit.

Lend a psychic hand if you can to the work set in motion at Cairo that has spread to the USA and has lit the match to restore the Light to the Lamp held by the Statue of Liberty and the World.

A wonky Mercury-retrograde cycle comes to an end

If you don’t know how crazy life can get when Mercury is retrograde, you’ve been living under a rock. If things have been wild for you and your chosen profession even though Mercury has been traveling in direct motion for a while now, there might be a good Astrological reason for that.

Asteroid Hermes, whom we talked about in More Space Rock Craziness UB1937 – (69230) Hermes, has been transiting Constellation Capricornus in retrograde motion until today when he turns direct. The domain of Capricornus is all about Big Business, Government, Professions, Self Esteem and – oh yes – the World Stage.

Hermes of course is the Greek version of the Romans’ Mercury, Messenger of the Gods. Hermes is also referred to as the Thrice Greatest Hermes Trimegistus, Alchemist, author of The Emerald Tablet, the Thoth-Hermes of the Greco-Roman-Egyptian period in the days of the great Library at Alexandria. This vibration is very focused and completely undiluted.

Today the retrograde cycle of the illusive and ultra-cool space rock UB1937 (69230) Hermes ends at the Eye of the Celestial Eagle, Altair in constellation Aquila. According to the Astronomical Ephemeris I’m looking at Hermes will not get precisely up to the Ecliptic Longitude occupied by Altair, but it will get close enough to see and be seen.

Occupy Wall Street, Big Business and Government are all being watched and influenced by a very strange space rock. And so are we. I will keep our YDOH eye on this strange harbinger of Ancient Wisdom and Gnosis.

Moon in the Capricornus-Aquarius Overhang Zone

Dear Capricorni and Aquarii, have you sometimes felt like you were living your life with one foot in the boat and the other foot on the dock? For good reason!

As you can see from the screen capture at right, there are three distinct Capricornus-Aquarius zones along the Zodiac Belt:

• Capricorn,
• Aquarius, and
• the common ground in the middle that we’re calling the “Capricornus-Aquarius Overhang Zone”.

So if you sometimes wonder what planet you’re from because you don’t quite fit in with those of your own sign, this may have something to do with it.

As mentioned yesterday, the Moon is by tradition considered to be weak in Capricornus. Will the celestial waters of the Water Bearer sign help that along a little bit today? I don’t know — you’ll have to tell me.

Unconsciously and subconsciously we’re going to be focused on Big Business, Government and the World Stage. Our self-esteem is on the line as our brothers and sisters demonstrate for democracy in New York City carrying Occupy Wall Street signs day and night. This is a time when they may begin to feel weakened and the cause futile. We need to bolster them emotionally, so send them your good thought energy today. They are another one of us out there on the front lines!

Sun aligns with M104 in Constellation Virgo

Did I ever tell you my family name is French-Canadian? So I’m thinking of adopting the Canadian Mounties motto “I always get my man.”

When alignments like this come up (Sun-Sombrero Galaxy) and I go shopping for reasons why they should be significant I always find what I’m looking for. Here is something really juicy for us to chew on:

Synchrotron emission

At radio and X-ray wavelengths, the nucleus is a strong source of synchrotron emission. Synchrotron emission is produced when high velocity electrons oscillate as they pass through regions with strong magnetic fields. This emission is actually quite common for active galactic nuclei. Although radio synchrotron emission may vary over time for some active galactic nuclei, the luminosity of the radio emission from the Sombrero Galaxy only varies 10-20%.

Unidentified submillimeter emission

In 2006, two groups published measurements of the submillimeter radiation from the nucleus of the Sombrero Galaxy at a wavelength of 850 micrometres. This submillimeter emission was found not to originate from the thermal emission from dust (which is commonly seen at infrared and submillimeter wavelengths), synchrotron emission (which is commonly seen at radio wavelengths), bremsstrahlung emission from hot gas (which is uncommonly seen at millimeter wavelengths), or molecular gas (which commonly produces submillimeter spectral lines). The source of the submillimeter emission remains unidentified. (Emphasis added)

Yes yes, Donna, that’s all well and good but what does it MEAN?

This is an example of why Mystery Schools are called Mystery Schools. The Mystery is where the Magic of Life resides. If something mysterious and magical happens for you today don’t be surprised. Today I woke up to cloudy skies – wall-to-wall clouds with the promise of rain. Darn. I had meant to do my laundry today. I got it all packed up and ready to cart down to the laundry room anyway and then of course it started to mist as I carried the empty basket back upstairs to my apartment. I went back to work and wrote the part of my YDOH where I wished we could put our Thoughts together and brighten the resolve and clear and warm the weather for those in New York who are doing a hard job of Occupying Wall Street. By the time I went back to the laundry room to retrieve my clothes, instead of having to haul them back in the rain the skies had unaccountably cleared and it was quite nice and warm. But only long enough for me to get all of my laundry done. Now it’s clouding up and cool again with Thunderstorms in the forecast.

It was a small miracle, but I took it on faith that if you have good connections, miracle-mindedness, and you think well for others, you can do anything.

Waxing Capricornus Moon aligns with the Eagle’s Eye

In Astrology the Capricorn Moon is weak because it is in the sign opposite its “rule” ~ Cancer. If that’s true then there is one alignment the Moon makes while in Capricornus that makes this statement at least temporarily untrue. The alignment to Alpha Aquila, the Eye of the Celestial Eagle.

The Moon’s alignment with Altair peaks sometime around 18:00 UT. Folks in the UK will be able to see  the Moon and Altair low in the Southeastern sky around that time. Go outside and see if you can identify Altair — it will be the brightest star that is closest to the Moon. And while you’re gazing at it remember that in New York City the Eye of the Eagle is shining down on what’s going on there too.

The star gate doesn’t really have a physical location. But we can use this place on the Zodiac Belt as its power point for working together with our Thought Energy.

Asclepius & the Heart of the Royal Lion

For you Ophiuchii there is literary evidence that Asclepius was in line to be King one day. Had his life not been cut untimely short he may have assumed a powerful throne. Certainly his sons were treated like royalty when they arrived on Troy’s shores with 30 ships of men in Epic Poet Homer’s great work The Iliad. So for those of you who feel called to enter the leadership arena, may you be blessed with success.

The most recent Ophiuchus native to make a run for the USA Presidency was December 11 Oph John Kerry. His running mate John Edwards was a June 10 Celestial Taurus. The Ophiuchus-Taurus polarity was not able to defeat the Bush-Cheney machine. If you know anything about politics in the USA that is enough said about that.

At the purely personal level, if there is an Ophiuchus native in your life or in your romantic future, he or she will be playing on your Heartstrings today.

Venus and Spica in Constellation Virgo

Whatever kind of day you had yesterday, the after-effects of it are being carried into today as Venus begins to separate from her alignment with Alpha Virgo, Spica.

You’re going to be hearing this from us for a while because there are four planets in Virgo and the themes of Health, Work and Service to Humanity is vitally important. Besides the number of planets in Virgo today, Virgo is the widest constellation on the Zodiac Belt so the Sun spends more time in Virgo than any other sign. Don’t you find that somehow appropriate?

It stands to perfect reason (a Mercury-Virgo key word) we SHOULD be paying more attention to the Earth Mother as a top priority. Virgo represents a time slice of our life that naturally commands more time and attention than any other. We are what we eat and we are what we are made of (what your mother ate and what you continue to eat) so if you like eating, breathing and walking around on this planet, spend some time today in appreciation of it. Take care of YOUR BODY.

In addition to the fundamental Health, Work & Service to Humanity parts of our lives, Virgo especially favors science and writing projects. Whatever project you’ve been in the middle of putting together, the healthy energy is going to be persisting at its peak level for some days. Then it will be up to you to keep up this new pattern for yourself. You won’t be totally unassisted. But you do have to demonstrate the Willingness to continue in these traces. The new energies are impulse-motivated which means if the impulse doesn’t take root you will not be forced to continue in the traces. It’s like being given a preview of things to come and then letting you decide for yourself if that’s what you want. Last time we checked, Earth is still a Free Will environment.

At around 18:30 UTC depending on the planetarium program you consult (make your own Date and Time Zone recalculations) the Moon will be at a Critical Degree of the “new zodiac” that some of us call the 43Sgr portal.

The portal at this Critical Degree has been known to generate all sorts of strong effects that we have not felt a need to document with the wider audience quite yet. In a nutshell the 43Sgr portal is part of a complex earth-and-sky bridging mechanism. Its effects are reasonably predictable but we’re still collecting data on it, so if you have a strong experience today and you want to give us your feedback, leave me a comment please.

Mercury has pulled away from its combust with the Sun. The good news is that those of us who were experiencing consciousness anomalies can begin to relax a little. I started seeing stars and passed out Thursday morning in the process of picking up my cat – kaBOOM! — did anything like that happen to you?

Please note I said relax “a little.” Mercury and the Sun are still swimming through the Coma-Virgo X-Ray/Radio Galaxy Streaming so the communications energy will continue at its current rate of intensity until the planets are out of the stream zone. Make good use of this energy! If you can get a handle on what it feels like to be so productive then you can mentally recall this time any time you want to by using your Fourth and Fifth Dimensional bodies.

Here is the “for dummies” translation of that Fourth and Fifth Dimensional bodies thing I said: on the day you wake up in a funk and you don’t feel like working, light a candle & burn some incense to distract and reset your body systems, take off your watch, get away from the clock, and pretend you’re in today (which will be yesterday or last week by the time you need this energy).

Simple, right? Maybe not easy, but simple. Try it. You won’t know if you can do it unless you try it.

Love in Service – Venus aligns with Spica

A little further down the Ecliptic Plane (aka the Zodiac Belt) Venus is out of the stream zone and aligning today with Alpha Virgo (“Spica”).

I can hear you. You’re telling me there are plenty of people out there violating our rights, animal rights, and every other kind of rights. And you’re right. But that’s a temporary situation too. If we don’t stop it and start practicing the right way to live on this planet – those of us who can just because we can – it is NEVER going to happen. Somebody has to turn the machine around. Our generation has come here to do that. Are you a Baby Boomer too? How about you enraged Indigo Adults out there? Well this is your time to shine. So find a phone booth to change in, take off your Ordinary Human costume and let that Big Red S “Superhuman” out of containment. And do it now. Sag Moon crosses Galactic Equator

Sagittarius Moon crosses Galactic Plane as Serpens rises at Stonehenge

The time calculation I’m using is 08:30 UT at Stonehenge. In my planetarium program I’m looking at the Moon crossing the Galactic Plane. Make your Date and Time Zone correction accordingly. Don’t be afraid to error-check my calculations. I’m human (I have a birth certificate that says so). I know you don’t want to hear this but I do make mistakes. I know that comes as a shock, but try to bear up under the pressure.

Also, timing may vary between planetarium programs because there is as far as I can tell no universal ephemeris that all applications are sharing. It might be nice if we were all synchronized with JPL NASA, but I don’t suppose that’s feasible or software engineers would all be jumping all over it.

Where were we? Oh yes. We were admiring the view of the Sagittarius Moon crossing the Galactic Equator from Stonehenge. My goodness. Is that Ophiuchus’s Northern Snake we see rising in the East as the Moon is at the Galactic Crossing?

The Moon resonates with our subconscious and unconscious minds and the autonomic systems of the human body. It is an established fact that the Moon pulls and pushes on water. Our bodies are somewhere between 50% and 80% water. The Moon in Astrology is considered to be “plastic, magnetic, fecundating and changeable.”

At the appointed time, turn off the chatter, get quiet, either meditate or take a nap. Your Mind will clear, your subconscious will open up, and you will psychically (Sagittarius key word) receive (Lunar key word) psychic energy from the Milky Way Galaxy’s Central Sun. If you are still and open, a mutual resonance can be set up between you. Here is how that works.

The Center of the Galaxy is called the Great Central Sun. In the macro-view all galaxies have central suns so they all share a common resonance due to the simple fact they are all the same: great central suns of galaxies.

In the micro-view, the Galaxy bears a 1-to-1 relationship even to the smaller systems that answer to it, like our Solar System for instance. Think of it as a parent-child relationship for lack of a better metaphor. Consequently, our Solar Star, the central sun of our Solar System, also resonates with the Great Central Sun of the Milky Way Galaxy and by extension the Suns of all other galaxies and embedded planetary systems as well.

Wait. I’m not finished yet. There is a sun or atoma at the center of every being. We call it a Heart. It could be the Heart muscle or it could be our Divine Spark. Either way, there is another sun in the center of every atom because atoms are just micro-micro-micro-mini versions of the Solar System and the Galaxy.

So every time a planet crosses the Galactic Plane, you get the opportunity to meditate on the Center of the Milky Way Universe and expand your consciousness out into Infinity. Today at 08:30 AM UT is one such opportunity.

Wow — look what just popped up on my Twitter Chandra X-Ray Watch! Sagittarius A: Peering into the Heart of Darkness the very latest information Chandra X-Ray Observatory has about the center of our Galaxy.

If you are used to thinking of yourself as a Tropical Sagittarius you may want to reevaluate yourself. A number of your compatriots have already done so and chosen to fully embrace their celestial Ophiuchus energy instead because it fit them better.

Food for thought.

For those of you who are bona fide Sagittarians – or even if you have other planets in Sagittarius – you are going to feel this Lunar transit across the Galactic Plane profoundly. In fact, the Tropical Sagittarians who are celestial Ophiuchans are going to feel it quite acutely as well if they have not already made the Quantum Leap.

October 2, 2011 ~ the Ophiuchus Moon transit

Yesterday the Moon whom we saw has a built-in Ophiuchus-friendly personality (Thoth-Hermes, foster father and mentor of the Hermetic Asclepius) joined with Asteroid Hygiea at the serpent-holding Hand of Ophiuchus.

Those of you who are students of the mysteries will be able to fully appreciate the significance of this alignment.

Here is the Moon’s October 2011 Ophiuchus transit itinerary.

• Oct 1 19:00 UT – Moon enters Constellation Ophiuchus
• Oct 1 22:00 UT – Moon aligns with Alpha Scorpius/Omega Ophiuchus and the Rho Ophiuchus area of the sky in which Antares is one of 5 significant celestial objects.
• Oct 2 16:00 UT – Moon aligns with (50000) Quaoar and both are applying to an Ecliptic alignment with Alpha Ophiuchus (Ras Alhague)
• Oct 2 20:00 UT – Moon in Ecliptic alignment with Alpha Ophiuchus (Ras Alhague)
• Oct 2 23:00 UT – Moon in Equatorial alignment with Alpha Ophiuchus (Ras Alhague) and the stinger tail stars of the Scorpion that could be made better use of as the forked tongue of Ophiuchus’s Southern Serpent of Wisdom (it, too, has a crown; see screen capture above)
• Midnight UT – Moon at the North Lunar Node position and still aligned as above noted.

Today at 13:00 UT from Stonehenge, Ophiuchus is fully risen except for his Easternmost foot which is in twilight. The Scorpion’s stinger tail stars are still safely below the horizon but they will be rising soon. As we look to the SSE we see Alpha Scorpius, Antares, “the Heart of the Scorpion” has fully risen. As we pan the horizon moving our eyes from SSE to Due East we see the Celestial Eagle Aquila has also risen. Alpha Aquila, “Altair”, the Eye of the Eagle is roughly parallel in elevation with Antares.

We pause a moment and try to comprehend the sign we are being given — that along this line of sight we are Bridging with our waking consciousness the three signs: the Scorpion, the Serpent Handler with its Serpent in hand, and the lofty Eagle.

In raising your consciousness to the prophecy on which so much hinges you are participating in this Great Work of Celestial Alchemy towards that day when the Scorpion will have been transmuted from malevolent harbinger of death to a symbol of freedom and Great Spirit.

By midnight at Stonehenge the Serpent Holder will have all but set. At Due West there will be no stars setting but the dark space you see will belong to Serpens Cauda, the tail end of Ophiuchus’s Northern Serpent. Alpha Ophiuchus will be the last of the Serpent Holder’s star lights to dip below the horizon at WNW. The Moon will be aligned with the old stinger tail stars of Scorpius — or are they the forked tongue of Ophiuchus’s new Southern Serpent crowned by Corona Australis, the Southern Crown? Which do you choose?

Subconsciously and in your Dream World the 13th Constellation is hard at work for you. Will the Moon’s alignment open a new channel between you and the Dream Healer that enables the two of you to communicate in dreams about healing and wisdom topics? Or will you be dreaming that manifestations of your worst fears are chasing you? Will you wake up feeling tired and relieved not to be dreaming anymore? Or feeling strangely refreshed and maybe just a little happier than you were this time yesterday morning?

October 1, 2011 ~ Waxing Moon in Constellation Scorpius

• Health health health!
• The Moon and the Scorpion
• Mars in the Beehive

Health, Safety & Well-being

The planetary aspects are much the same today as yesterday. Venus, Mercury and the Sun will soon converge on that point in their annual transit of Constellation Virgo where they will align with the constellation’s Alpha star, Spica. It will take Saturn considerably longer to get there. But then her mission is appreciably more deliberate, and as we know has a lot to do with the return of this planet to its spiritual values not the least of which include Health, Safety, and Human Well-being.

The indications and advice for the day continue to converge on those themes: Health, Safety & Well-being. We cannot stress this enough: if you are not actively on a Wellness Path, you need to get on one. Physicians can fix you when you are broken but for the most part they do not attend to matters of Wellness. There is no money in Wellness for them.

How we get money from others is a Scorpio concept. If physicians were less concerned about the ability to pay for their services (Scorpio) and more concerned about spreading the glow of health around (a Sophia-Wisdom-Serpent concept) then this world would be a better place and the Scorpion would already be screaming like an Eagle and soaring and nesting in the treetops.

Starting a diet isn’t enough. We all need a proper Nutrition program and to get up out of our computer chairs and get some fresh air and exercise. Organ cleansing & detoxification, herbal supplements, and cleaning out our cavities — for example our sinuses — is vital. Healthy body, healthy mind!

Moon in Scorpius

By noon UT at Stonehenge the Moon will have already moved two-thirds of the way through the Zodiac Belt waters of Constellation Scorpius. On its way to this point it will have aligned with many of the stars of Serpens Caput, the head-end of Ophiuchus’s giant serpent. Within some minutes the Moon will conjunct and join Asteroid Hygiea in an alignment with Yed Prior and Yed Posterior, the stars of the serpent-handling Hand of the Serpent Holder.

The Moon in Scorpius is powerful for Ophiuchus. In Ancient Egypt Thoth was God of the Moon. Later on in the fusion of Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Christian sacred texts the most notable of that which is extant is the Corpus Hermeticum in which Thoth is known by the name Hermes Trimegistus the Thrice Greatest. In the Corpus Hermeticum Hermes addresses several of his lectures and letters to his ‘son’ Asclepius. The connection here should be glaringly obvious.

Sophia, Wisdom, is the Serpent. The alignments of the Moon and Asteroid Hygiea are impinging on Asclepius’s Serpent, a concept also synonymous with Woman and the Goddess. While all of this is happening in Scorpius don’t forget about the stellium of planets in Constellation Virgo, the Planetary Agrarian Goddess Gaia, Health, Vegetation, and Service to Humanity.

You may use these concepts at will in your meditations and work with Planetary and Personal Kundalini today.

Moon enters Ophiuchus

The Moon will enter Constellation Ophiuchus at approximately 19:00 UT. If you need to split hairs and get the exact time, consult the planetarium program or astronomical Ephemeris of your own choosing. I prefer not to program you with my thoughts and feelings as to what you should expect. I would like you to have the freedom of scripting your own experiences of the Ophiuchus Moon. I will say this: my Libra-Scorpius-Ophiuchus Moon transits have always yielded the most excellent adventures and proven to be quite magical.

Mars in the Beehive

Looks like the Planetary Healer 'Y' Posture, doesn't it?

There is another key planetary placement today and that is Mars in the Beehive Cluster — also known as M44 Open Cluster, Praesepe or the Manger.

Because Mars by Astrological tradition is the Planetary Intelligence speaking for Zodiac Sign Scorpio and because this domain also gives Mars dominion over snakes, serpents and the like, we discovered a couple of months back that Mars is now the Serpent Holder’s Best Friend on the Zodiac Belt. Mars in Cancer can be read any number of ways. See how creative you can get. Here are a few ideas to try out:

• A Serpent of Wisdom seed in the Womb of the Great Mother Goddess

• The Great Mother Being the Serpent itself while surrounded by Her Priestesses

The President of the USA is a real-sky Cancer. What do you think may be going through his mind today? If you care about the planet, no matter what your denomination or party you will send him supportive energy today in gratitude for the job he is doing no matter what the results look like on the surface. Remember we are in the outer circle and all that we see is smoke and mirrors. Let’s “act as if” the world were perfect and it was our loving thoughts that got it that way.
